Pay Scale :

• In Training Period - 14600/Month
• After Training Period - Basic Pay: 21,700 - 69,100 + Military Service Pay 5,200/

Educational Qualification :

• Candidates should have passed Class X (Matriculation Examination)
• Should have proficiency in Western Notation, Aural Aptitude & basic knowledge in theory Music.
• Actual practical skill on any Western Classical /Wind/Percussion Instrument.

Qualifying Age :

1. Birth Date between 01/10/1994 to 30/09/2002
2. Age should be between 17-25 years on the day of enrolment

Selection Procedure for Musician :

Physical Test :

1. PFT will consists of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
2. 20 Squats (Uthak Baithak)
3. 10 Push-ups
4. Only those who qualified PFT undergo Medical Examination

Medical Test :

Entry level Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standards prescribed in current regulations applicable to Musician sailors on entry. Candidates declared Temporary unfit during Medicals in the recruitment medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible. Those candidates who are declared Permanent unfit during Medicals can appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of Rs 40 by Military Receivable Order (MRO) in the Government Treasury within 21 days. Medical fitness certificate from other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will NOT be considered. This whole process of initial medicals is generally completed on the same day but it may also take 3-4 days, depending on the Service requirements or due to unforeseen contingencies.

Final Screening :
Medically fit candidates will be called on a designated date to INS Kunjali, Colaba for final screening & selection on an all-India basis.

1. Application to be filled in CAPITAL Letters.
2. Self attested copies of the following certificates

• Matric/Equivalent certificate for verification of date & birth
• Matriculation/Higher Board examination Mark sheet & Certificate
• Domicile Certificate

3. Two self-addressed envelope of size 22*10 cms with Rs. 10/- stamp affixed on one envelope & one envelope without stamps to be submitted along with the application form.
